The proposed project involves the restoration and conversion of the Grade I listed Doddington Hall and the Grade II listed Stables into a five-star country house hotel (Class C1). This development will offer 120 premium rooms, a restaurant, bars, and function rooms, requiring a series of internal and external modifications. The plan includes the integration and preservation of the three existing cottages and stables into the design, as well as the construction of a new annex wing for additional bedroom accommodations. Additionally, a new spa and leisure facility (Class D2) will be built, along with a temporary event space, associated parking, and the restoration of the Grade II registered park and garden. Detailed landscaping and the installation of a new electricity substation are also part of the proposal.
The proposal further includes the structural restoration and refurbishment of the Grade I listed Delves Castle (Delves Tower/Delves Hall), with its future use to be determined outside the scope of this application. Additionally, the structural restoration and refurbishment of the Grade II* listed Star Barn is proposed.
